Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture for better browning.
Lightly coat each fillet with olive oil on all exposed sides.
Season fillets evenly with salt, pepper, garlic powder and smoked paprika.
If using honey glaze, mix honey with a little lemon zest and brush lightly over the top.
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes for even cooking.
Spray the basket lightly with cooking spray or brush a thin oil layer to prevent sticking.
Place fillets skin-side down in a single layer in the air fryer basket; do not overcrowd.
Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 7–9 minutes for medium doneness (internal 125–130°F / 52–54°C) or 9–12 minutes for well done.
Check doneness: salmon should flake easily with a fork and still be moist inside.
Remove fillets, rest 1–2 minutes, then squeeze fresh lemon and sprinkle chopped dill before serving.
